Four Letters: T-I-M-E

After reflecting upon the game and a decent night's sleep, it is my conclusion today that it is all a matter of a four-letter word in the situation we are in -- T-I-M-E. Yes, that's right, it's all a matter of TIME with Gillispie. Ever heard the phrase "you can't keep a good man down"? That holds true for our basketball situation. It is just a matter of time before UK rises up again and regains it's dominant place in college basketball. Is it hard to wait this out and take the beating as a fan? Sure, you bet it is. Some of us have been ready to hand Gillispie his "memorandum of understanding" back, but we need to hold off on that and give him the chance he truly deserves. IMHO, no one, not Rupp, not Wooden, not Smith (Dean), not Williams, not Self (Bill), not anyone could do any better or pull the proverbial rabbit out of the hat in this situation. We need to dig in as fans and prepare to take the worst and hold onto the positives. Time passes slower in the situation we are in but when you get out on the other side and make it to next season you will see that it was just a short drought you were in.

Some may argue this quote: "All good things must come to an end". To that I use the words by the character Andy Dufrain (ala Shawshank Redemption): "No good thing ever dies". IMO, UK is a good thing, and we aren't going anywhere! So find something to pass the time and dig in the for the long haul, cause it's going to be a long season. But be prepared, cause good things are coming way down the road!
